hola c,
how goes the training these days down in Virginia? you all picked a splendid time to go to the field, july in virginia, the only thing worse is august in iraq.....it will be a mild winter for you though which will be nice....the candidates finished up the first 6 week increment last friday with a good old fashioned Marine Corps parade, 4 companies graduated with about 800 junior and senior candidates finishing up their respective training. makes you reaffirm your belief in the next generation, if those kids want to be an officer that bad that they are willing to sacrifice their summers to get yelled at, condition hiked, starved, deprived of their sleep, made to go through the quigley time after time, then i think the future of the Marine Corps is in relatively safe hands, at least from what i saw.
i have some pics from the family reunion down in leonardtown, no one there knew everyone, which makes me feel good since i'm so bad with names and faces, especially with people i've known all my life but only see once every 3 years or so. grogan and lynn made an appearance, he took a break from his busy test pilot syllabus, good to catch up with them. pappas and pikey were unavailable.
well hope the training is going well and you are learning a lot, knowledge is power!
semper kill,
